Fayoum City

Fayoum city is located in the heart of Egypt between the Delta and Upper Egypt southwest of Cairo distance of 100 km , one of the oases in the Western Desert and is considered a microcosm of Egypt where Yusuf Sea represents gaining and Deltah represent Lake Qarun northern coastline. And Fayoum gathering where all of the elements and features attractions for its temperate weather throughout the year. Has appeared in which the successive civilizations of Egypt and left their mark through the effects of the Pharaonic , Greek , Roman , Coptic and Islamic . The total area of ​​the province of Fayoum ( 6068.70 km2 ), which includes five administrative centers are (Fayoum , Sinnuras , Atsa , Tamyah, Ibshway )

The Fayoum environments met three types - coastal and rural and desert - together in a beautiful harmony but it is not available . Among the most prominent features of the coastal environment which constitute a magnet mainly for tourism Lake Qarun , which lies 20 km from the city and 80 km from Cairo and allow the water sports , fishing and bird watching migratory and resident and located on the south coast range of facilities and tourist villages.
Tourism desert environment :
Fayoum close similarities oasis , where desert surrounded from all sides except for a point of contact with the Nile . So the desert represents 62% of the area which is rich in  its plants ,formations geological and mountains and hills and desert and , eyes natural ,birds and animals rare wild , has announced the desert north of Lake Qarun and around lakes and Wadi Rayan nature reserves because they contain components of environmental and natural rare.
